Title of the Project: Promoting HIV Prevention among Young Women
Mission of the Project: To empower young women by promoting HIV prevention among young women and to reduce the stigma and discrimination related to HIV/AIDS
i.To educate 5,000 young women of Schools and Colleges of North West Frontier Province of Pakistan enabling them to prevent themselves from HIV.
ii.To establish 100 AIDS Discussion Clubs in girls’ Schools and Colleges of North West Frontier Pakistan volunteering at least 2,00 young women for promoting HIV awareness among young women and to reduce the stigma and discrimination related to HIV/AIDS
iii.To raise awareness among young people about HIV/AIDS prevention, transmission, and treatment through Local Radio Programs
i.Training Manual for HIV/AIDS Education developed and upgraded
ii.150 Secondary and Higher Secondary Schools of women in 5 target districts visited, and selected 50 out of these 150 schools.
iii. 2,500 Young women of 5 target districts educated about HIV/AIDS Prevention
iv. Each Young woman further shared information with at least 10 young women, and by this way they were able to share information with 25,000 young women.
v. 50 AIDS Discussions Clubs established for awareness raising on HIV/AIDS Prevention and stigma reduction
vi.150 young women and 90 Young School teachers involved in project implementation through AIDS Discussion Clubs
vii.24,000 young people reached with HIV/AIDS information through 20 Radio programs
